Ecohouse install a 3.96kW Solar Photovoltaic energy system in Southampton 

Ecohouse UK Ltd are delighted to increase their portfolio of satisfied customers to the South Coast where they have installed a 3.96 kW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system, consisting of 18 x Sharp 220W solar panels, roof mounted in Southampton. 

The system, which is the largest domestic system available under the 4kW band, will qualify for the 41.3p feed in tariff and should generate impressive revenue for the new owners. 

Combined with the electricity savings, Mr and Mrs King are very pleased with their new purchase, as Mr King explained: 

“There is no doubt that we have made an excellent long term investment which, as well as giving us a good return on investment, will insure us against any big increases in future power costs.” 

The system took just two days to install and commission and Mr. King spoilt our install team with a chilled glass of Champagne on completion! 

The SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) calculation predicts that the system should generate 3,505.6 kWh and avoid over 3,099 kg of CO2 emissions per annum. 

 Mr. King explained, “The system is working well.  Yesterday it generated 27 units, the best day so far and the average daily generation is slightly higher than predicted by the publicly available European Commission PV estimation utility.“ 

 The system requires no maintenance and Sharp products have a performance warranty of 25 years, although their system should last much longer. Solar PV panels are reliable, robust and should provide many units of free electricity for Mr. and Mrs. King well into the next three decades, making solar energy a reliable long term investment. 

 Mr. King was also pleased at how easy it was to register his system and explained “the MCS certificate came through the day after installation, thanks to your prompt submission of our details, and now we are registered to receive the Feed-in-Tariff payments every three months from our supplier.”
